Railways Recruitment Board has revised the ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) vacancy, and increased the existing 5696 vacancies to 18799.
What is the revised zone wise vacancy status?
After increasing the vacancies, many zones have recorded a double increase in the number of seats. Here is the data of zone-wise increase in vacancies:
1. Central Railway (CR): increased from 535 to 1786.
2. East Central Railway (ECR): remained as it is (76).
3. East Coast Railway (ECoR): increased from 479 to 1595.
4. Eastern Railway (ER): increased from 415 to 1382.
5. North Central Railway (NCR): increased from 241 to 802.
6. North Eastern Railway (NER): increased from 43 to 143.
7. Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR): increased from 129 to 428.
8. Northern Railway (NR): increased from 150 to 499.
9. North Western Railway (NWR): increased from 228 to 761.
10. South Central Railway (SCR): increased from 585 to 1949.
11. South East Central Railway (SECR): increased from 1192 to 3973.
12. South Eastern Railway (SER): increased from 300 to 1001.
13. Southern Railway (SR): increased from 218 to 726.
14. South Western Railway (SWR): increased from 473 to 1576.
15. West Central Railway (WCR): increased from 219 to 729.
16. Western Railway (WR): increased from 413 to 1376.
TOTAL: increased from 5696 to 18799.
Can you change your Railway Zone?
Railways has also notified that "Opportunity will also be given to existing candidates to revise their choice of RRB once details are published".
So if you want to change your zone, you will be given a chance.
