5. Dialysis Technician: 20 to 36 years
6. Perfusionist: 21 to 43 years
7. Pharmacist (Entry Grade): 20 to 38 years
8. Radiographer X-Ray Technician: 19 to 36 years
Note: This year, a one-time relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit is being given to candidates (because the vacancies have come after a long break).
For example, Field worker's age limit in normal processes is 18 to 30 years, but this year, it is 18 to 33 years.
Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to candidates of:
1. OBC (NCL): 3 years
2. SC/ST: 5 years
3. Ex-servicemen (UR & EWS): 3 years (after deduction of length of service from age).
4. Ex-servicemen (OBC-NCL): 6 years (after deduction of length of service from age).

4. Cardiac Technician/Optometrist/ECG Technician: level-4 (basic pay is ₹25,500)
5. Laboratory Assistant Grade II: level-3 (basic pay is ₹21,700)
6. Field Worker: level-2 (basic pay is ₹19,900)
• The in-hand salary for level-7 in X-city (with 50% DA) will be: ₹74,175 approx.
• The in-hand salary for level-6 in X-city (with 50% DA) will be: ₹60,360 approx.
• The in-hand salary for level-5 in X-city (with 50% DA) will be: ₹48,517 approx.
• The in-hand salary for level-4 in X-city (with 50% DA) will be: ₹42,795 approx.
• The in-hand salary for level-3 in X-city (with 50% DA) will be: ₹36,817 approx.
• The in-hand salary for level-2 in X-city (with 50% DA) will be: ₹34,009 approx.
Educational Qualification required for RRB Paramedical 2024:
1. Nursing Superintendent:
(a) Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife having passed 3 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery from a school of Nursing or other institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council
OR;
(b) B.Sc Nursing.
2. Dietician:
(a) BSc (Science Graduate) with Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics (one year course) from a recognized institution plus 3 months internship training in a hospital.
OR;
(b) B.Sc Home Science + M.Sc Home Science (Food and Nutrition) from a recognised institution.
3. Clinical Psychologist:
Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology / Social Psychology from a recognized University.
4. Health and Malaria Inspector Grade III:
B.Sc. having studied Chemistry as Main / Optional subject in any branch of Chemistry while undertaking the course.
Plus;
(a) One year Diploma of Health / Sanitary Inspector, OR;
(b) One year National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Health Sanitary Inspector awarded by National Council for Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, New Delhi.
5. Perfusionist:
(a) B.Sc with Diploma in Perfusion Technology,
OR;
(b) B.Sc and Three years experience in Cardio Pulmonary Pump Technician in Reputed Recognised Hospital.
6. Physiotherapist Grade II:
(a) Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized university
AND;
(b) Two years practical experience in Physiotherapy from the Government/Private Hospital with atleast one hundred beds.
7. Dialysis Technician:
Bachelor degree in Science, Plus; (a) Diploma in Haemodialysis
OR;
(b) two years satisfactory in-house Training / Experience in Haemodialysis work in a reputed institution (proof to be attached).
8. Laboratory Superintendent:
(a) B.Sc with Bio-Chemistry / Micro Biology / Life science / B.Sc with Chemistry and Biology as main or as optional/subsidiary subjects or eqivalent plus Diploma in Medical Lab technology (DMLT) or equivalent
OR;
(b) B.Sc in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from a recognized institution.
9. Dental Hygienist:
(a) Degree in Science (Biology) from a recognized university or equivalent
AND;
(b) Diploma / Certificate Course (2 years) in Dental Hygiene from an institute recognized by Dental Council of India
AND;
(c) Registered with Dental Council of India as Dental Hygienist
AND;
(d) Two years experience as Dental Hygienist.
10. Cath Laboratory Technician:
B.Sc and Diploma from a reputed Cardiac Lab in Cardiac Professional Cath Lab work or; two years house training/experience in a reputed Cardiac Cath Laboratory.
11. Occupational Therapist:
10+2 with Science and Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy.
12. Audiologist and Speech Therapist:
Bachelor in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from a recognized University and must be registered with Rehabilitation Council of lndia (RCl).
13. Speech Therapist:
(a) B.Sc and Diploma in Audio and Speech Therapy, AND;
(b) 2 years experience in the related field.
14. Pharmacist (Entry Grade):
(a) 10+2 in Science or its equivalent, with Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized institution and registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948
OR;
(b) Bachelor degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) from a recognized University or equivalent and Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act,1948.
15. Radiographer X-Ray Technician:
10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography/X Ray Technician/Radiodiagnosis Technology (2 years course) from recognized Insitute.
16. Optometrist:
B.Sc in Optometry or Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician (the course should be of 3 to 4 years duration). The candidate should have Registration with the concerned Council/Licensing body.
17. ECG Technician:
10+2 / Graduation in Science having Certificate/Diploma/Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology/Cardiology/Cardiology Technician/Cardiology Techniques of a reputed institution.
18. Cardiac Technician:
Higher Secondary (10+2) in Science and certificate course or Diploma in Cardiology Lab Investigations consisting of ECG, Holter and TMT. Candidate trained in Echocardiography is preferable.
19. Laboratory Assistant Grade II:
12th (10+2 stage) in Science,
Plus;
(a) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)
OR;
(b) Certificate Course (of minimum 1 year duration) in Medical Lab. Technology at par with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT).
20. Field Worker:
12th (10+2 stage) in Science with Biology or Chemistry.
Exam Pattern of RRB Paramedical 2024:
Exam will be conducted in only one stage (single stage exam), and it will be a computer-based test (CBT).
It will have questions from:
1. Professional Ability: 70 questions - 70 marks
2. General Awareness: 10 questions - 10 marks
3. General Arithmetic & Reasoning: 10 questions - 10 marks
4. General Science: 10 questions - 10 marks
Total: 100 questions - 100 marks.
Total Time: 90 minutes.
Negative Marking: 1/3rd (-0.33 marks).

(a) Merit list for selection will be prepared from this single CBT exam.
(b) The Professional Ability will contain questions related to the stream you have applied for. (For detailed syllabus, you should check Annexure -C, Page-27 of CEN 04/2024 notification).
