Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released notification for recruitment of Officers and Subordinate Staffs for various departments for year 2024.

Are Other State Candidates Eligible?
Yes Other State Candidates can fill this form.
They are eligible for both State Services and Subordinate Services, except those posts (of Subordinate Services) which belong to Scheduled Areas (SA).

Remember: Other State Candidates will always be considered as General (Unreserved) Candidates.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Must have a "Degree in any stream" from a UGC recognised university/institute.

NOTE: Final year/appearing students are also eligible to apply, but they will have to provide the details of passing the examination in Detailed Application Form (DAF) before Mains Stage.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/01/2025):
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 40 years

• Age relaxation in Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
1. Non-gazetted employees of Rajasthan State: 05 years
2. Female Candidates of General Category/Other State: 05 years
3. Male candidates of BC/OBC/SC/ST/EWS of Rajasthan State: 05 years
4. Female candidates of BC/OBC/SC/ST/EWS of Rajasthan State: 10 years
5. Widows and Divorced Women: No Upper Age Limit.
6. Ex-servicemen (for State Services): 10 years
7. Ex-servicemen (for Subordinate Services): 15 years

ATTEMPT LIMIT:
There is no any restrictions on number of attempts. You can give unlimited attempts till your upper age limit.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to both the State and Subordinate Services will be done in three stages:
A. Preliminary Examination (200 marks)
B. Main Examination (800 marks)
C. Personality Test/Interview (100 marks)

A. Preliminary Examination:
It is only for shortlisting candidates for Mains Exam, and it will not be counted for making merit list for service allotment.
• It contains "200 questions" from General Knowledge & General Science".
• Maximum Marks: 200 marks
• Total Time: 3 hours
• Type of Paper: Objective (MCQ-type)
• Negative Marking: One-third (-1/3 marks)
• Number of students shortlisted for Main Examination: Fifteen (15) times the vacancy.

B. Main Examination: It contains four papers:
1. Paper-I : General Studies-I: 200 marks
2. Paper-II : General Studies-II: 200 marks
3. Paper-III : General Studies-III: 200 marks
4. Paper-IV : General Hindi and General English: 200 marks
• TOTAL: 800 marks
• Type of Paper: Conventional (Descriptive-type)
• Time for each paper: 3 hours

C. Personality Test/Interview
Candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks in Main Examination (as decided by RPSC), will be called for Personality Test/Interview.
In this stage, your personality is tested, whether you are fit for the service or not.
TOTAL Marks of Interview: 100 marks.

FINAL SELECTION:
Final Selection to the services will be done on the basis of the merit list prepared from Mains and Interview marks.
Total Marks (Final Merit) = Mains + Interview= 800 + 100 = 900 marks.
