Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) has released notification for inviting online applications for recruitment of Junior Assistant Manager (JAM), Grade ‘O’ for 2025-26.

Is IDBI a Government or Private Bank?
After Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India acquired 51% of the total paid-up equity share capital of the bank, it has been categorized as a ‘Private Sector Bank’ for regulatory purposes by Reserve Bank Of India (RBI) with effect from January 21, 2019.
However, Direct and Indirect (through LIC & PSUs) shareholding of Government of India (GoI) in IDBI Bank is over 97%. But for categorisation purposes, it's a Private Bank, and so its employees are also private.

1. JAM (Generalist):
(i) Ahmedabad Zone (Dagra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Gujarat): 70 vacancies (Language: Gujarati)
(ii) Bengaluru Zone (Karnataka): 65 vacancies (Language: Kannada)
(iii) Chandigarh Zone (Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, HP, J&K, Ladakh): 50 vacancies (Languages: Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Dogri, Kashmiri, Bhoti)
(iv) Chennai Zone (Puducherry, Tamil Nadu): 50 vacancies (Language: Tamil)
(v) Kochi Zone (Kerala): 30 vacancies (Language: Malayalam)
(vi) Mumbai Zone (Maharashtra): 125 vacancies (Language: Marathi)
(vii) Nagpur Zone (Maharashtra): 50 vacancies (Language: Marathi)
(viii) Pune Zone (Goa, Maharashtra): 60 vacancies (Language: Konkani, Marathi)

2. JAM (Specialist) - Agri Asset Officer (AAO): 100 vacancies (PAN India posting).

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 01/10/2024):
1. JAM (Generalist):

Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a UGC recognised university, with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).

2. JAM (Specialist) - Agri Asset Officer (AAO):
4 years degree (BSc/BTech/BE) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture Engineering, Fishery Science/Engineering, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary science, Forestry, Dairy Science/Technology, Food Science/Technology, Pisciculture, Agro Forestry, Sericulture from a UGC recognised university, with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/10/2024):
• Minimum: 20 years
• Maximum: 25 years.
• Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to:
(i) SC/ST: 5 years
(ii) OBC: 3 years
(iii) Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD): 10 years
(iv) Ex-servicemen: 5 years
(v) Victims of 1984 riots: 5 years

SALARY:
• At the time of joining, compensation on Cost to Company (CTC) basis will be: ₹6.14 lakh to ₹6.5 lakh per annum (in class A city).
• Annual increment will be given on the basis of performance or other criteria set by the bank.
• The appointee would be covered under the IDBI Bank Ltd. New Pension Scheme (IBLNPS) rules, 2011, as amended/modified from time to time.

PROBATION PERIOD: Probation period is of One (1) year duration.

CAREER PROSPECTS/PROMOTION:
After completing 3 years service in Junior Assistant Manager (JAM) Grade 'O', you'll be eligible for promotion to Assistant Manager (AM) Grade 'A'. And then again after 3 years in Assistant Manager (AM) Grade 'A', you'll be eligible for promotion to Manager Grade 'B'. And like this, you'll be eligible for further promotions after 3 years service in the grades. But promotion will also be dependent on the number of vacancies, and clearing the tests/interviews.

SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection process shall comprise of:
A. Online Test (OT)
B. Document Verification (DV)
C. Personal Interview (PI)
D. Pre Recruitment Medical Test (PRMT).

A. Online Test (OT):
Online Test will contain questions from:
(i) Logical Reasoning, Data Analysis & Interpretation: 60 questions - 60 marks - 40 minutes
(ii) English Language: 40 questions - 40 marks - 20 minutes
(iii) Quantitative Aptitude: 40 questions - 40 marks - 35 minutes
(iv) General/Economy/Banking Awareness/Computer/IT: 60 questions - 60 marks - 25 minutes
(v) Professional Knowledge (only for JAM-AAO): 60 questions - 60 marks - 45 minutes

• Total: 200 questions (for Generalist)
• Total Marks: 200 marks (for Generalist)
• Total Time: 120 minutes (for Generalist)
• Total: 260 questions (for JAM-AAO)
• Total Marks: 260 marks (for JAM-AAO)
• Total Time: 165 minutes (for JAM-AAO)
• Negative Marking: One-fourth (-0.25 marks)

B. Document Verification (DV):
Candidates who qualified Online Test, will be called for Personal Interview, and before giving Interview, their Documents will be verified.

C. Personal Interview (PI):
• After satisfactory verification of documents, candidates will be allowed to give the Interview.
• Interview will be of 100 marks.
• Total Marks for Final Merit (for selection): 3/4 of OT score + 1/4 of PI score

D. Pre Recruitment Medical Test (PRMT):
The final offer of employment would be issued to candidates who found to be medically fit as per Bank’s Medical Fitness Standards and/or by the Bank’s Medical Officer at Corporate Center, Mumbai.
