LIC HFL Junior Assistants Recruitment 2024 - Government or Private Job - Everything Explained

Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Housing Finance Limited (HFL) has released notification for recruitment of Junior Assistant for year 2024.
But before we proceed into details, it is necessary to know whether it is a government job or private job?


Is LIC HFL Junior Assistant a Private Job?

LIC HOUSING FINANCE LTD is a Public incorporated on 19-06-1989. It is classified as a Non-government company and is registered at RoC-Mumbai.

Since it is registered as a "Non-government company", it's employees are also not a government employee, i.e., private employees.


Important Dates:

Application Begins: 25th July 2024
Application Ends: 14th August 2024
Expected Exam Date: In September 2024

Application Fees:
₹800 + 18% GST (for all category candidates).

Job Profile:
Junior Assistants are backbone of the organisation. They handle all diverse tasks and help in smooth functioning of the organisation.
Some of their works include:
1. Clerical Duties: Managing and maintaining records, data entry, and filing documents.

2. Customer Service: Assisting customers with their queries, providing information about products and services, and resolving issues.

3. Financial Transactions: Manages Cash Counter, payments, and maintain accounts.

4. Support to Senior Officers: Assisting senior officers in their daily tasks, preparing reports, and performing other administrative duties.

5. Document Verification: Verifying and processing applications, loan documents, and other financial documents.

6. Office Management: Ensuring the office runs smoothly by coordinating with various departments and managing office supplies.

7. Marketing Activities: Performs basic marketing activities or any other business-related activity according to the line of business conducted by the Life Insurance Corporation of India Housing Finance Limited.


Probation Period: 6 months (can be extended further as per requirements).


Career Growth:
After some years of work, you get promoted to Assistant, and then to Associate and then to Manager.


Salary:
Basic pay: ₹20,000
Gross salary: ₹32,000 to ₹35,000
In-hand Salary: ₹30,000 to ₹32,800


Educational Qualification (as on 01.07.2024):
Graduation from any UGC recognised university with atleast 60% marks, in regular mode only.
(Correspondence/Online/Distance/Part-time mode candidates are ineligible).

Note: Candidates with Computer Skills and Work Experience will be more preferred.


Age Limit (as on 01.07.2024): 20 to 28 years.

Selection Process: Online Examination and Interview.

Pattern of Online Examination:

1. English Language: 40 questions
2. Logical Reasoning: 40 questions
3. General Awareness (With special emphasis on Housing Finance Industry): 40 questions
4. Numerical Ability: 40 questions
5. Computer Skill: 40 questions

Total questions: 200 questions
Total marks: 200 marks
Total time: 120 minutes (2 hours)
Language of Paper: Only English

Marking scheme: Correct answer will earn you +1 marks, and incorrect response will attract a penalty of -0.25 marks.
