Supreme Court of India (SCI) - Junior Court Attendant (Cooking) Recruitment 2024 - All Explained

Supreme Court of India (SCI) has released notification for recruitment of Junior Court Attendant (Cooking) for year 2024.

Important Dates:
Application Begins: 23rd August 2024
Application Ends: 12th September 2024
Fee Payment Last Date: 12th September 2024
Exam Date: Will be announced later

Application Fees:
₹400 for General/OBC/EWS and
₹200 for SC/ST/PH/Ex-Servicemen/Dependent of Freedom Fighters/Widow/ Divorcee Women/ Judicially separated Women who are not re-married

Educational Qualification:
(a) Passed 10th standard/matriculation exam conducted by any Board/Institute recognized by the Government.
(b) Minimum One year full time diploma in cooking/culinary arts from a recognized Institute.

Note: Ex-servicemen candidates who do not possess one year full time diploma in cooking/culinary arts from a recognized Institute are also eligible to apply on the basis of trade/competency certificate in cooking/catering field issued by the Competent Authority.

Experience:
Three years of cooking experience in a prestigious Hotel/Restaurant/Government department/Undertaking etc.

Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024):
Minimum Age Limit:
 18 years.
Maximum Age Limit: 27 years.
Age relaxation in the upper age limit:
1. 3 years for OBC candidates.
2. 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
3. 10 years for Physically Handicapped (Unreserved/EWS).
4. 13 years for Physically Handicapped (OBC).
5. 15 years for Physically Handicapped (SC/ST).
6. For Ex-servicemen: 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on closing date of receipt of online application.
7. Windows/Divorced Women/Judicially Separated Women till 35 years of age (for UR/EWS/OBC)/till 40 years of age (for SC/ST).
8. There will be no age limit for employees of Supreme Court who have completed 3 years of regular service in the Registry.

Number of vacancies: 80 (tentative vacancy).
This vacancy can increase or decrease, and is hence tentative.
After declaration of final vacancy, seats will be distributed as per the reservation criteria mentioned in the constitution.

Salary:
Pay Level: level-3 (₹21700-69100)
Basic Pay: ₹21,700
Dearness Allowance (DA): 50%
Gross Salary: ₹46,210 approx.
In-hand salary: ₹41,250 approx.

Selection Process:
Selection shall be on the basis of written test based on Objective Type Question Paper in bilingual (English and Hindi), Practical Trade Skill Test in cooking and Interview as per details given below:

A. Written Test - 100 marks
(a) Written Test of General Knowledge with multiple choice answers (objective type) - 30 marks
(b) Written test on cooking/culinary arts (objective type) - 70 marks
Total marks: 100 marks
Minimum qualifying marks: 60%
On qualifying Written Test, you will be shortlisted for Stage-2 (Practical Trade Skill Test).

B. Practical Trade Skill Test in cooking - 70 marks
Minimum qualifying marks: 60%
On qualifying Practical Trade Skill Test, you will be shortlisted for Stage-3 (Interview).

C. Interview - 30 marks
Minimum qualifying marks:
60%

Total marks for final merit preparation = Marks of all three stages = 100 + 70 + 30 = 200 marks.
Minimum qualifying marks in total (for final selection): 60%
