EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 21/11/2024):
A. For Subedar/Sub-Inspector/SI (Special Branch)/Platoon Commander:
Bachelor Degree in Any Stream from Any UGC Recognized University.

B. For Sub-Inspector (Angul Chinh)/Sub-Inspector (Documents in question):
Bachelor Degree in Science (BSc) with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from Any UGC Recognized University.

C. For SI (Computer)/SI (Cyber Crime):
Bachelor Degree in Computer (BCA/BSc Computer) From Any UGC Recognized University.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/01/2024):
• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 28 years
Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to:
(i) OBC/SC/ST: 05 years
(ii) Females of Chhatisgarh: 10 years
(iii) Contractual Employees: Upto number of years served in contract (maximum 38 years).
(iv) For already serving CG State Govt Employees: upto 36 years
(v) Ex-servicemen: To the extent of service rendered by them in Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years.
(vi) Widows, Divorced & Legally Separated Women: upto 36 years
(vii) Unreserved Candidates who have done Inter-caste Marriage: 05 years
(viii) Constables & Non-commisioned Officers of Chhatisgarh Home Guards (Swayamsevi Nagar sena): 08 years (not to exceed 36 years of age).

PHYSICAL STANDARD:
A. Height:
• Minimum (Male): 168 cm
• Minimum (Female): 153 cm

B. Chest (for Male only):
• Unexpanded (Minimum): 81 cm
• Expanded (Minimum): 86 cm
• There must be a difference of minimum 5 cm between unexpanded and expanded chest.

C. Candidates should not have any type of Physical Disability or Physical Deformity like flat foot, knock knee, etc.

D. Candidates should have sound eyes and ears. There should be no any hearing defect or any defect in eyes, for example, colour blindness, night blindness, cataract, etc.

E. Vision of candidates should be minimum 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye (without any lenses). No spectacle allowed.

Are Other State Candidates Eligible?
No, other state candidates are not eligible for this exam.
You must be a Domicile of Chhattisgarh to be eligible to apply for this exam.

PROBATION PERIOD:
Candidates will serve in a probation period of atleast three (3) years. After this period, they will be confirmed in the service.

SALARY:
• Pay Level: 8 (Chhattisgarh Pay Matrix)
• Pay-band: ₹35,400-1,12,400
• Basic pay: ₹35,400
• Dearness Allowance: 50%
• Other Allowances: Transport Allowance (TA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), etc
• Deductions: NPS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, etc
• Gross Salary: ₹60,000 approx.
• NET In-hand Salary: ₹52,300 approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done in the following stages:
A. Physical Standard Test (PST)
B. Preliminary Written Exam (OMR Based)
C. Main Exam (OMR Based)
D. Separate Selection List
E. Physical Eligibility Test (PET)
F. Interview
G. Combined Merit List.

A. Physical Standard Test (PST):
Height, Chest, Eyes & Other Medical Conditions will be examined in this stage. It should be according to the requirements mentioned in the notification.

B. Preliminary Written Exam (OMR Based):
• Subjects: General Knowledge
• Total Marks: 300 marks
• No Negative Marking
• Total Time: 2 hours
• Based on the result, candidates equal to TWENTY (20) times the vacancy, will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

C. Main Exam (OMR Based):
1. Paper-I: Proficiency in Hindi & English Language
• Total Marks: 200 marks
• Total Time: 2 hours
• Compulsory for all posts
• No Negative Marking
• Hindi is of 125 marks & English is of 75 marks

2. Paper-II: General Knowledge & General Studies
• Total Marks: 200 marks
• Total Time: 3 hours
• No Negative Marking
• Compulsory for all posts

3. Paper-III: Aptitude Test
• Total Marks: 200 marks
• Total Time: 2 hours
• No Negative Marking
• Compulsory for all posts

4. Paper-IV: Science (Physics, Chemistry & Maths)
• Total Marks: 200 marks
• Total Time: 2 hours
• No Negative Marking
• Only for SI (Angul Chinh)/SI (Documents in question)

5. Paper-V: Computer Science
• Total Marks: 200 marks
• Total Time: 2 hours
• No Negative Marking
• Only for SI (Computer)/SI (Cyber Crime)

D. Separate Selection List:
• Three separate merit lists for Subedar/Sub-Inspector/SI (Special Branch)/Platoon Commander, SI (Angul Chinh)/SI (Documents in question), AND, SI (Computer)/SI (Cyber Crime) will be prepared.
• Based on the result, candidates equal to FIVE (5) times the vacancy, will be shortlisted in three separate selection lists for PET & further stages.

E. Physical Eligibility Test (PET):
• This stage will have the following activities:
(i) Long jump: 60 marks
(ii) High jump: 60 marks
(iii) Shot Put (Gola Fek): 60 marks
(iv) 100 metre race: 60 marks
(v) 1500 metre race: 60 marks
• Total: 300 marks
• Minimum qualifying marks: 30%

F. Interview:
• Interview will be of 100 marks.
• In this stage, your personality will be examined, to see whether you are fit for the service or not.

G. Combined Merit List:
• Combined Merit List will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in Mains Exam, PET & Interview.
• Bonus Marks (up to 10 marks) will be given to candidates who have participated in the sports tournament at national level. Candidates who have not participated in any sports will not get these bonus marks.
• On the basis of this Combined Merit List, candidates will be taken into the service.
