Indian Navy has released notification for inviting applications from "Unmarried Male and Female Candidates" for Enrollment as "Officers" for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Executive, Education and Technical Branch for June 2025 Batch.

Educational Qualification:
1. For General Service {both GS (X) and Hydro}:

BE / B.Tech in Any Stream with Minimum 60% Marks.in Any Recognized University India.

2. For ATC, NAOO, Pilot:
BE / B.Tech in Any Stream with Minimum 60% Marks.in Any Recognized University India.
(Candidates must have 60% aggregate marks in class X and XII and minimum 60% marks in English in class X or class XII)

3. For Logistics:
a. BE/BTech in Any Stream with First Class, OR,
b. MBA with First Class, OR,
c. B.SC/B.Com/B.Sc IT with First Class and PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material Management, OR,
d. MCA/MSc(IT) with First Class.

4. For NAIC:
Master Degree in Electronics/Physics, OR,

BE/BTech with 60% marks in Aeronautical/Aero Space/Automobiles/Control Engineering/Industrial Engineering & Management/Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Mechanical/Mechanical with Automation/Marine/Mechatronics/Metallurgy/Production.

8. Electrical Branch (General Service/Technical):
BE/BTech with 60% marks in Electrical/Electronics/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Applied Electronics and Communication (AEC)/Electronics & Tele Communication/Tele Communication/Instrumentation/Electronics & Instrumentation/Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Power Engineering/Power Electronics.

Salary:
Pay level: level-10 (₹56,100 - 1,77,500)
Grade Pay: 5400
Basic Pay: ₹56,100
Dearness Allowance (DA): 50%
Marine Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 + DA (50%)
Travelling Allowance: ₹7200 + DA (50%)
Gross Salary (excluding HRA): ₹1,18,200 approx.
Net in-hand salary (excluding HRA): ₹98,628 approx.
(HRA of 30% will be given only in case quarters are not available)


Probation Period:
a. For NAIC Branch: 3 years
b. For other branches: 2 years

Promotion:
Promotion of SSC Officer in Indian Navy takes place in following order:
1. Sub-Lieutenant: pay level 10 (5400 GP) (initial joining)
2. In 4 years, Lieutenant: pay level 10B (6100 GP)
3. In 9 years, Lieutenant Commander: pay level 11 (7600 GP) (till completion of 14 years SSC service).


Selection Process:
Selection to this service will be done in two stages:
A. Shortlisting Based on Graduation/PG Marks (post eligibility wise).
For appearing candidates, shortlisting will be done on the basis of pre-final marks.

B. Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview.
Final Merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in SSB Interview.


Training:
a. Training will take place at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala.
b. After reporting, you will go through Induction Medical Examination (IME). After clearing this, you will be inducted in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.
c. Only unmarried candidates will join, and marrying in between training is strictly not allowed. If found, you'll be discharged from the training and service.
d. If a candidate voluntarily withdraws from training or during probation period, he/she will have to pay the sum of money government spend on his/her training.

Induction Medical Examination (IME):
Candidates before induction, have to undergo a medical examination. In this stage, your overall medical fitness will be checked.
To qualify this stage, you should have:
1. Height: 157 cms
2. Weight: 18 to 22 BMI
3. Chest: 80-85 cms, with 5 cm expansion
4. You should have all organs in a good state.
5. Be free of any chronic disease
6. Have sound Ears and Eyes.
7. Uncorrected vision should not be more than 6/12, 6/12 and with correction (glasses) it should be 6/6, 6/6.
8. Good dental condition
9. Normal Blood Pressure
10. Normal Glucose levels (not diabetic)
11. Normal Heart Rate
12. And there should be no any type of physical deformity like knock knees, flat foot, etc.
