Bank of Maharashtra Apprenticeship 2024 - Benefits - Duration - Stipend - Eligibility - Selection Process

Bank of Maharashtra has released notification for recruitment of apprentices for 2024-25. This apprenticeship is basically a training programme, which will train you in the BFSI sector.

Application Fees:
General/OBC/EWS: ₹150
SC/ST: ₹100
PH (Divyang): Exempted

Educational Qualification (As on 30/06/2024):
(i) Graduate in any stream from any UGC recognised university.
(ii) The apprentice should be proficient in local language (Reading, Writing and Speaking) of State/UT. The apprentice should produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate evidencing one of the languages as local language.

NOTE:
(i) A candidate must be a citizen of India.
(ii) A candidate should not have undergone Apprenticeship Training earlier or has been pursuing Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act in this Company or any other organisation.

Age limit (As on 30/06/2024):
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 28 years
Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be given:
1. OBC (NCL): 3 years
2. SC/ST: 5 years
3. Physically Handicapped (UR/EWS): 10 years
4. Physically Handicapped (OBC): 13 years
5. Physically Handicapped (SC/ST): 15 years
6. Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years
7. Ex-servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years)
8. Widows, divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: Age concession up to the age of 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST candidate.

What is Apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are a work-based learning model where learners have supervised on-the-job training, along with job-related education, all while earning a wage.

Training consists of basic training (theoretical instructions) and practical "on-the-job training" at the actual work place. The person undergoing an apprenticeship is called an Apprentice.

Will this Apprenticeship give me a permanent job in Bank of Maharashtra?
No this will not give you a permanent job in Bank of Maharashtra.
But after completing this apprenticeship, you will definitely get a very good job in private sector banks/insurance companies.

Will I get paid in this Apprenticeship?
Yes, you will get paid!
You will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 only.
However, it's important to note that apprentices do not receive any other allowances or benefits.

TRAINING HOURS: 10 AM to 5 PM

Duration of Bank of Maharashtra Apprenticeship:
This Apprenticeship will be 1 year (52 weeks) long, which will include:
a. 2 weeks Basic Training (theory classes)
b. 50 weeks On-the-Job Training (posted in any branch of Bank of Maharashtra).

Will I get any certificate?
This Apprenticeship programme is being conducted jointly by Bank of Maharashtra, under National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and the "BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI-SSC)."

Proving successful completion of the apprenticeship involves passing a skill evaluation test (Trade test).
On passing the test, you will get a joint National Apprenticeship Certificate issued jointly by Bank of Maharashtra-NSDC/BFSI-SSC.

Selection Process:
Selection will be done in two stages:
1. Merit list preparation
2. Document Verification

• The merit list of those candidates who have applied will be prepared State wise in descending order on the basis of marks/percentage obtained in 12th Std (HSC/10+2)/ Diploma Examination.
• In case more than one candidate is having the same percentage, such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order in the merit.
• After getting selected, during Document Verification (DV), you will have to provide evidence of passing local language as a subject in your 10th/12th examination.
