(ii) Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in related speciality, AND,
(iii) Completed super-speciality course (DM/MCh) in related speciality, AND,
(iv) Three years experience (Senior Residency will be counted).
B. Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant):
(i) Graduate degree in Medicine (MBBS) and completed internship, AND,
(ii) Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in related speciality, AND,
(iii) 1.5 years experience (after PG Degree)/2.5 years experience (after PG Diploma).
C. Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant):
(i) Graduate degree in Medicine (MBBS) and completed internship, AND,
(ii) Must have permanent registration in MCI/NMC/State Medical Council.

JOB Profile:
A. Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second-in-command):
1. Supervise and Monitor the healthcare delivery systems and services at various levels.
2. Assigning Duties to medical officers, dental surgeons, and other staff members under his charge.
B. Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant):
1. Responsible to perform administrative duties and maintain the standard of patient care.
2. Make sure to report to the senior officials and take care of the medical recordkeeping.
C. Medical Officers (Assistant Commandant):
1. Provide Medical support and investigate problems to ensure smooth day-to-day activities.
2. Responsible for maintaining clinical data that is important for providing medical care to the patient.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection will be done on the basis of Interview, PET & MET conducted by the Medical Officers Selection Board (MOSB).
The process takes place in three steps:
A. Documentation & Interview
B. Physical Standard Test (PST)
C. Medical Examination Test (MET)
A. Documentation & Interview:
In this stage, your original certificates, marksheet, documents,etc will be verified. You will be required to provide the following documents:
1. 10th/Matriculation Certificate
2. Certificates & Marksheet of MBBS/PG.
3. Certificate in support of completing Internship.
4. MCI/NMC/State Medical Council Registration Certificate.
5. SC/ST/OBC/EWS Certificates (if applicable).
6. Identity Cards (PAN/Aadhaar/Voter ID).
7. Income & Asset Certificate (in case of OBC & EWS).
8. NOC from your department (in the case of Central Civilian Employees).
9. NCC Grade Certificate (if available).
10. Discharge Certificate (in case of Ex-servicemen).
• After successful verification of these documents, you'll be allowed to give the Interview.
• Interview will be of 200 marks.
• It will be conducted to test the candidate's general ability, intelligence, balance of judgement, alertness of mind, and academic knowledge.
• Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (80 marks).
• Minimum qualifying marks will be same for candidates of all categories.
B. Physical Standard Test (PST):
1. Height:
For Male: Minimum 157.5 cm
For Female: Minimum 142 cm
2. Chest (only for Male):
Unexpanded: Minimum 77 cm
Expanded: Minimum 82 cm
Minimum Expansion: 5 cm
3. Weight: Proportionate to Body Mass Index (BMI) of 18.5 to 23.
• Height relaxation will be given to:
(i) Scheduled Tribes (ST): 03 cms
(ii) Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas, and candidates belonging to states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir Region of UT of J&K, and UT of Ladakh: 02 cms
C. Medical Examination Test (MET):
In this stage, your overall medical fitness will be checked.
To qualify this stage:
1. You should have all organs in a good state.
2. Be free of any chronic disease.
3. Have sound Eyes and Ears.
4. Good dental condition.
5. Normal Blood Pressure.
6. Normal Glucose levels (not diabetic).
7. Normal Heart Rate.
8. And there should be no any type of physical deformity like knock knees, flat foot, etc.
• For Eyes:
(i) Near Vision: N6 (Better Eye) & N9 (Worse Eye).
(ii) Distant Vision (uncorrected): 6/6 or 6/9 (for better eye) & 6/9 or 6/12 (for worse eye).
(iii) Spectacle (Hypermetropia): not more than +3.50D
(iv) Spectacle (Myopia): not more than -4.50D
FINAL SELECTION:
After qualifying Interview, PST, and MET, selection to the service will be done on the basis of marks scored in the Interview.
