RPSC School Lecturer (PGT Teacher) Recruitment 2024 - Eligibility - Salary - Selection Process

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released notification for recruitment of Lecturers/PGT Teachers in schools of Rajasthan.
Here in this blog, I have explained all the necessary details related to this recruitment notification.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 04/12/2024):
A. School Lecturer/PGT (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Rajasthani, Punjabi, Urdu, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Sociology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths):
Master Degree in Related Subject with Degree/Diploma in Education (B.Ed / DELEd).

B. School Lecturer/PGT (Home Science):
Master Degree in Home Science from a UGC/ICAR recognised university, with Degree/Diploma in Education (B.Ed / DELEd).

C. School Lecturer/PGT (Biology):
Master Degree in Zoology/Botany/Microbiology/Bio Technology/Life Science/Bio Science from a UGC recognised university (must have studied Botany and Zoology at Graduation level), with Degree/Diploma in Education (B.Ed / DELEd).

D. School Lecturer/PGT (Commerce):
Master Degree in Commerce from a UGC recognised university (must have studied BCom at Graduation level), with Degree/Diploma in Education (B.Ed / DELEd).

E. School Lecturer/PGT (Drawing):
Post Graduate in Drawing from any UGC recognised university, OR, Diploma of four/five years in Arts from any school/college of arts recognised by government.

F. School Lecturer/PGT (Music):
Post Graduate in Music from any UGC recognised university.

G. School Lecturer/PGT (Physical Education):
Graduate from any UGC recognised university, AND, Post Graduate in Physical Education/M.P.Ed. (two years duration) from university/institute recognised by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).

H. Coach (Wrestling, Kho-Kho, Hockey, Football):
(i) Graduate in any stream, with Degree/Diploma in Physical Education, AND,
(ii) Full term National Institute of Sports (NIS) Certificate from any branch of National Institute of Sports.

NOTE:
For all the posts, working knowledge of Hindi in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani Culture is necessary.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/01/2025):
• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 40 years
• Age relaxation in the Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
1. Persons with Disability: 05 years (category wise)
2. Female Candidates of General Category/Other State: 05 years
3. Male candidates of BC/OBC/SC/ST/EWS of Rajasthan State: 05 years
4. Female candidates of BC/OBC/SC/ST/EWS of Rajasthan State: 10 years
5. Widows and Divorced Women: No Upper Age Limit.
6. Ex-servicemen: 10 years (not to exceed 50 years age).

ATTEMPT LIMIT:
There is no any restrictions on number of attempts. You can give unlimited attempts till your upper age limit.

SALARY:
Level: 12 (Rajasthan Pay Matrix)
Pay Band: 9300-34800
Grade Pay: 4800
Basic Pay: ₹44300
Dearness Allowance: 50%
Gross Salary: ₹70,500 approx.
NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹60,100 approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
A. For the post of School Lecturer:
• Examination will be of 450 marks, and will be conducted in two stages:
(i) Paper-I: General Studies (150 marks & 1.5 hours)
(ii) Paper-II: Subject Concerned (300 marks & 3 hours)
• Both paper will be Objective Type (MCQ).
• Negative Marking: One-third (-1/3rd)
• Minimum qualifying marks for each paper is 40% (5% relaxable for SC/ST).

• Paper-I contains questions from:
(a) History of Rajasthan & Indian History
(b) Mental Ability, Statistics, Mathematics, Language Ability (Hindi & English).
(c) Current Affairs
(d) General Science, Indian Polity, Geography of Rajasthan.
(e) Educational Psychology, Educational Management, Educational Scenario in Rajasthan, Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009.

• Paper-II contains questions from:
(a) Knowledge of Subject Concerned: Senior Secondary Level
(b) Knowledge of Subject Concerned: Graduation Level
(c) Knowledge of Subject Concerned: Post Graduation Level
(d) Pedagogy, Teaching Learning Material, Use of Computers and Information Technology in Teaching Learning.

B. For the post of Coach:
• Examination will be of 450 marks, and will be conducted in two stages:
(i) Paper-I: General Studies (150 marks & 1.5 hours)
(ii) Paper-II: Sports Concerned (300 marks & 3 hours)
• Additional 40 marks shall be awarded for participation in sports/tournaments.
• Both papers will be Objective Type (MCQ).
• Negative Marking: One-third (-1/3rd)
• Minimum qualifying marks for each paper is 40% (5% relaxable for SC/ST).

• Paper-I contains questions from:
(a) History of Rajasthan & Indian History
(b) Mental Ability, Statistics, Mathematics, Language Ability (Hindi & English).
(c) Current Affairs
(d) General Science, Indian Polity, Geography of Rajasthan.

• Paper-II contains questions from:
(a) Knowledge of Physical Education and Sports.
(b) Sport Sciences.
(c) General Theory and Method of Training.
(d) Specific Knowledge of Games/Sports and it's current affairs.

• Awardable marks on the basis of certificate of the participation and the position gained in sports competition shall be as under:
(a) Participation at international level or winner at national level: 40 marks
(b) II position at national level: 36 marks
(c) III position at national level: 32 marks
(d) Participation at national level or winner at state level: 28 marks
(e) II position at the state level: 24 marks
(f) III position at the state level: 20 marks
(g) Participation at state level or winner at district level: 16 marks
(h) II position at the state level: 12 marks
(i) III position at the state level: 8 marks
(j) Participation at district level: 4 marks

C. For the post of Lecturer of Physical Education:
• Examination will be of 460 marks, and will be conducted in two stages:
(i) Paper-I: General Studies (100 questions, 200 marks & 2 hours)
(ii) Paper-II: Physical Education (130 questions, 260 marks & 2 hours)
• Additional 40 marks shall be awarded for participation in sports/tournaments.
• Both papers will be Objective Type (MCQ).
• Negative Marking: One-third (-1/3rd)
• Minimum qualifying marks for each paper is 40% (5% relaxable for SC/ST).

• Paper-I contains questions from:
(a) Geographical, Cultural, Historical and General Knowledge of Rajasthan.
(b) Current Affairs of Rajasthan.
(c) General Knowledge of World and India.
(d) Educational Psychology.

• Paper-II contains questions from:
(a) General Knowledge of Physical Education of Secondary and Senior Secondary standard.
(b) General Knowledge of Sports and Physical Education and Current Affairs.
(c) Theories, definitions and history of Physical Education.
(d) Education and Games Psychology.
(e) Methods, Supervision and Organisations of Physical Education.
(f) Theories of Training and Decisions.
(g) Science of basic physical anatomy, function and health education.
(h) Entertainment, Camp and Yoga.

• Awardable marks on the basis of certificate of the participation and the position gained in sports competition shall be as under:
(a) Participation at international level or winner at national level: 40 marks
(b) II position at national level: 36 marks
(c) III position at national level: 32 marks
(d) Participation at national level or winner at state level: 28 marks
(e) II position at the state level: 24 marks
(f) III position at the state level: 20 marks
(g) Participation at state level or winner at district level: 16 marks
(h) II position at the state level: 12 marks
