Meaning:
• A2 standard:

SALARY:
In this notification, there are posts of two different pay scales:
A. Pay level-5 (5200-20200, 2800 GP)
B. Pay level-6 (9300-34800, 4200 GP)

(i) Goods Train Manager
(ii) Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist
(iii) Senior Clerk cum Typist
• Pay level: 5 (5200-20200, 2800 GP)
• Basic Pay: ₹29,200
• Dearness Allowances (DA): 50%
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): 20% (for Y-city)
• Other Allowances: TA, Holiday Allowance, Night Shift Allowance, etc.
• Deductions: NPS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, etc.
• Gross Salary: ₹52,500 approx.
• NET (In-hand Salary): ₹45,500 approx.
B. Posts under Pay level-6 (9300-34800, 4200 GP):
(i) Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor
(ii) Station Master
• Pay level: 6 (9300-34800, 4200 GP)
• Basic Pay: ₹35,400
• Dearness Allowances (DA): 50%
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): 20% (for Y-city)
• Other Allowances: TA, Holiday Allowance, Night Shift Allowance, etc.
• Deductions: NPS, Income Tax, Professional Tax, etc.
• Gross Salary: ₹62,800 approx.
• NET (In-hand Salary): ₹54,200 approx.
NOTE:
The Highest Salary is of "Goods Train Manager".
Though it's a level-5 post, but Train Manager is considered a "Running Staff" in railways.
And so, Train Managers get "Kilometre Allowances", which increases their salary by a huge margin.
At an average, The "Goods Train Manager" can easily earn between 50,000-60,000 as Kilometre Allowance, which makes their Gross salary equal to 1,00,000+
SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection to the service will be done in the following stages:
A. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
B. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
C.1. Typing Skill Test (TST) (for JAA & SCCT only)
C.2. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)(for SM only)
D. Document Verification (DV)
A. 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT):
The 1st Stage CBT will contain questions from:
(i) General Awareness: 40 questions - 40 marks
(ii) Mathematics: 30 questions - 30 marks
(iii) Reasoning: 30 questions - 30 marks
• TOTAL: 100 questions - 100 marks
• TOTAL TIME: 90 minutes
• Negative Marking: One-Third (-1/3rd)
• Number of candidates shortlisted for 2nd Stage CBT: Fifteen (15) times the vacancy.
B. 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT):
The 1st Stage CBT will contain questions from:
(i) General Awareness: 50 questions - 50 marks
(ii) Mathematics: 35 questions - 35 marks
(iii) Reasoning: 35 questions - 35 marks
• TOTAL: 120 questions - 120 marks
• TOTAL TIME: 90 minutes
• Negative Marking: One-Third (-1/3rd)
• Number of candidates shortlisted for Typing Test/CBAT: Eight (08) times the vacancy.
C.1. Typing Skill Test (TST) (for JAA & SCCT only):
• Only for the posts of Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist (JAA) & Senior Clerk Cum Typist (SCCT).
• Test will be taken on Personal Computer (without any editing tools or spelling check facility).
• English Typing: 30 Words Per Minute (WPM)
• Hindi Typing: 25 Words Per Minute (WPM)
• Number of candidates shortlisted for Document Verification (DV): same as the number of vacancies.
C.2. Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)(for SM only):
• Only for the post of Station Master.
• Qualifying marks: The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.
• Irrespective of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex-SM and no relaxation in the minimum T-Score is permissible.
• Number of candidates shortlisted for Document Verification (DV): same as the number of vacancies.
D. Document Verification (DV):
In this stage, all your documents (educational, category, identity, etc) will be verified, and after successful verification, you'll get selected into the service (based on marks scored in 2nd Stage CBT).
