RPSC Agriculture Department Various Post Recruitment 2024 - Eligibility - Salary - Selection Process

Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released notification for recruitment of various posts in the Agriculture Department of Rajasthan.

Yes Other State Candidates can fill this form.
They are eligible for the service, except those posts which belong to Scheduled Areas (SA).

Remember: Other State Candidates will always be considered as General (Unreserved) Candidates.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 27/11/2024):
A. Assistant Agriculture Officer (NSA/SA):
BSc (Agriculture) or BSc (Horticulture) from a UGC recognised university.

B. Statistical Officer:
(i) IInd class Post Graduate Degree in Maths with Statistics, OR,
(ii) IInd class MSc. (Agri) with a special subject in Statistics, OR,
(iii) IInd class MSc in Statistics from a UGC recognised university.

C. Agriculture Research Officer (Agronomy):
IInd class MSc. (Agri) with Agronomy from a UGC recognised university.

D. Agriculture Research Officer (Agriculture Botany):
(i) IInd class MSc. (Agri) in Botany, OR,
(ii) IInd class MSc. (Botany) with specialization in Plant Breeding from a UGC recognised university.

E. Agriculture Research Officer (Plant Pathology):
(i) IInd class MSc. (Agri) in Plant Pathology, OR,
(ii) IInd class MSc. (Botany) with specialization in Plant Pathology from a UGC recognised university.

F. Agriculture Research Officer (Entomology):
(i) IInd class MSc. (Agri) in Entomology, OR,
(ii) IInd class MSc. (Zoology) with specialization in Entomology from a UGC recognised university.

G. Agriculture Research Officer (Agriculture Chemistry):
(i) IInd class MSc. (Agri) Chemistry/Soil Science, OR,
(ii) IInd class MSc. (Chemistry) from a UGC recognised university.

H. Agriculture Research Officer (Horticulture):
IInd class MSc. (Agri) with Horticulture from a UGC recognised university.

I. Assistant Agriculture Research Officer (Agronomy):
IInd class MSc. (Agri) with Agronomy from a UGC recognised university.

J. Assistant Agriculture Research Officer (Botany):
(i) IInd class MSc. (Agri) in Botany, OR,
(ii) IInd class MSc. (Botany) with specialization in Plant Breeding from a UGC recognised university.

K. Assistant Agriculture Research Officer (Plant Pathology):
(i) IInd class MSc. (Agri) in Plant Pathology, OR,
(ii) IInd class MSc. (Botany) with specialization in Plant Pathology from a UGC recognised university.

L. Assistant Agriculture Research Officer (Entomology):
(i) IInd class MSc. (Agri) in Entomology, OR,
(ii) IInd class MSc. (Zoology) with specialization in Entomology from a UGC recognised university.

M. Assistant Agriculture Research Officer (Agriculture Chemistry):
IInd class MSc. (Agri) Chemistry/Soil Science from a UGC recognised university.

NOTE:
For all the posts, working knowledge of Hindi in Devnagari Script and knowledge of Rajasthani Culture is necessary.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/01/2025):
• Minimum: 20 years {for Statistical Officer, Agriculture Research Officer (all) & Assistant Agriculture Research Officer (Plant Pathology)}
• Minimum: 18 years (for all other posts)
• Maximum: 40 years

• Age relaxation in the Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
1. Persons with Disability: 05 years (category wise)
2. Female Candidates of General Category/Other State: 05 years
3. Male candidates of BC/OBC/SC/ST/EWS of Rajasthan State: 05 years
4. Female candidates of BC/OBC/SC/ST/EWS of Rajasthan State: 10 years
5. Widows and Divorced Women: No Upper Age Limit.
6. Ex-servicemen: 10 years (not to exceed 50 years age).

ATTEMPT LIMIT:
There is no any restrictions on number of attempts. You can give unlimited attempts till your upper age limit.

C. Posts with a salary of Level-11 (in Rajasthan Pay Matrix):
1. Assistant Agriculture Officer (NSA)
2. Assistant Agriculture Officer (SA)

• Level: 11
• Pay Band: 9300-34800
• Grade Pay: 4200
• Basic Pay: ₹37800
• Dearness Allowance: 50%
• Gross Salary: ₹60,500 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹52,100 approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the Services will be done on the basis of marks scored in Written Test (Objective).

• It contains 150 questions from the following subjects:
A. General Knowledge of Rajasthan: 40 questions - 40 marks
B. Concerned Subject (as prescribed in qualification): 110 questions - 110 marks

• TOTAL: 150 questions
• Maximum Marks: 150 marks
• Total Time: 2.5 hours (150 minutes)
• Type of Paper: Objective (MCQ-type)
• Negative Marking: One-third (-1/3 marks)

Based on this written test, merit list will be prepared. And based on this merit list, candidates will be selected to the respective services.
