Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released notification for recruitment of Junior Assistants in various departments and institutions of Uttar Pradesh. Here in this blog, I have given a brief information related to this recruitment notification.

VACANCY:
• A total of 2702 vacancies have been notified, and all these vacancies are for both male and female.
• Vacancies are distributed as follows:
(i) General/UR: 1099
(ii) EWS: 238
(iii) OBC-NCL: 718
(iv) SC: 583
(v) ST: 64

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 22/01/2025):
(i) Must have passed Intermediate/10+2 from a Govt recognised board.
(ii) NIELIT CCC Exam Passed.
(iii) Must have appeared in UPSSSC PET 2023 exam and scored minimum cutoff score (as decided by the commission).
(iv) Hindi Typing (25 wpm), and, English Typing (30 wpm) on Computer.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/07/2024):
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 40 years
• Age relaxation in Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
1. OBC-NCL: 03 years
2. SC/ST: 05 years
3. Physically Handicapped: 10 years
4. Ex-servicemen: Actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years
5. Dependents of Freedom Fighters: 05 years
6. Skilled players of UP: 05 years

SALARY:
• Pay level: 3 (5200-20200, 2100 GP)
• Basic Pay: ₹21,700
• Dearness Allowances (DA): 50%
• Other Allowances: TA, HRA, Medical, etc.
• Deductions: NPS, Income Tax, etc.
• Gross Salary: ₹35,500 approx.
• NET (In-hand Salary): ₹30,700 approx.

JOB PROFILE of Junior Assistants:
1. Assisting higher officials with day-to-day office and field work.
2. Dispatching files.
3. Typing, recording, and Indexing, to prepare files and statements.
4. Registering files in office.
5. Calibration and troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
6. Doing professional and domain-specific tasks in the accounting and administrative fields.
7. Other tasks, as assigned by the higher authorities.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection Process takes place in three stages:
1. Stage-I: UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2023 Exam.
2. Stage-II: Main Examination.
3. Stage-III: Skill Test.

• Since, you have already given the UPSSSC PET 2023 Exam, you should have scored marks above the minimum cutoff decided for this notification.

• Stage-II: Main Examination:
Questions will be asked from the following subjects:
(a) Hindi Knowledge & Writing Ability: 30 questions - 30 marks
(b) General Intelligence & Reasoning: 15 questions - 15 marks
(c) General Knowledge: 20 questions - 20 marks
(d) Computer Knowledge: 15 questions - 15 marks
(e) General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh: 20 questions - 20 marks

Number of Questions: 100 questions
Marks for each question: 1 marks
Total Marks: 100 marks
Total Time: 2 hours (120 minutes)
Negative Marking: -1/4th (-0.25 marks)

• Stage-III: Skill Test:
On the basis of performance in Main Exam, candidates will be shortlisted and called for Skill Test. In this test, your Typing Skill (30 wpm in English and 25 wpm in Hindi) will be tested.

NOTE: After qualifying the skill test, final selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in the Mains Examination.
