Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released notification for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors in the Telecommunication Department of Rajasthan State Police. Here in this blog, I have explained all the details related to this recruitment notification.

VACANCY:
A total of 98 vacancies have been notified, which are distributed as follows:
1. Non TSP Area: 94 posts
(UR : 36, EWS : 09, SC : 15, ST : 11, OBC : 19, MBC : 04)

2. TSP (Tribal Sub Plan) Area: 04 posts
(UR 03, ST : 01)

Are Other State Candidates Eligible?
Yes Other State Candidates can fill this form.
They are eligible for the service, except those posts which belong to Scheduled Areas (SA).

Remember: Other State Candidates will always be considered as General (Unreserved) Candidates.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 27/12/2024):
(i) Bachelor Degree in Science (BSc) with Physics & Mathematics, OR, BE/BTech Degree in Telecommunications/Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
(ii) Knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.
(iii) Working knowledge of Hindi in Devnagari Script.

AGE LIMIT (as on 01/01/2025):
• Minimum: 20 years
• Maximum: 25 years

• Age relaxation in the Upper Age Limit will be provided to:
1. Male candidates of OBC/SC/ST/MBC/EWS of Rajasthan State: 05 years
2. Female Candidates of General Category/Other State: 05 years
3. Female candidates of OBC/SC/ST/MBC/EWS of Rajasthan State: 10 years
4. Ex-servicemen: up to 40 years age.
5. State Government Employees: 03 years
6. Dependents of deceased Police officers/officials killed in discharge of their duties: 03 years.

SALARY:
• Level: 11 (Rajasthan Pay Matrix)
• Pay Band: 9300-34800
• Grade Pay: 4200
• Basic Pay: ₹37800
• Dearness Allowance: 50%
• Gross Salary: ₹60,500 approx.
• NET (In-hand) Salary: ₹52,100 approx.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done in the following stages:
1. Written Test (Objective)
2. Physical Efficiency Test
3. Aptitude Test & Interview

1. Written Test (Objective):
The written test will have two papers:
(i) General Hindi: 200 marks - 2 hours
(ii) General Knowledge & General Science: 200 marks - 2 hours

• Minimum qualifying marks: 36% in each paper, and 40% in aggregate.
• Relaxation up to 5 marks will be given to SC/ST candidates.
• Candidates up to 20 times the vacancy will be called for the physical test.

2. Physical Efficiency Test:
Physical Efficiency Test will be rigorous, and will test for overall physical fitness of candidates.
• It will be of 100 marks.
• Minimum qualifying marks: 50%
• Based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the Written Test & Physical test, candidates up to 03 (three) times the vacancy will be called for the Interview.

3. Aptitude Test & Interview:
In this stage, your personality, judgement, alertness, leadership qualities and knowledge of Rajasthani Culture will be tested.
• It will be of 50 marks.
• Minimum qualifying marks: 36%
(30% for OBC/SC/ST/MBC/EWS)

FINAL SELECTION:
• Final Selection will be done on the basis of marks scored in all the three stages.
• Overall (aggregate of all three stages), you have to score at least 45% to get recommended (40% for OBC/SC/ST/MBC/EWS).
