EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION (as on 31/12/2024):
1. Court Master:
(i) Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized Institute/University.
(ii) Proficiency in Shorthand (English) with a speed of 120 wpm
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Operation with a typing speed of 40 wpm
(iv) Minimum 5 years regular service in the cadre of Private Secretary/Senior PA/PA/ Senior Stenographer in Government/Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory bodies.
2. Senior Personal Assistant (SPA):
(i) Degree in any stream from a recognized Institute/University.
(ii) Proficiency in Shorthand (English) with a speed of 110 wpm
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Operation with a typing speed of 40 wpm
3. Personal Assistant (PA):
(i) Degree in any stream from a recognized Institute/University.
(ii) Proficiency in Shorthand (English) with a speed of 100 wpm
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Operation with a typing speed of 40 wpm
AGE LIMIT (as on 31/12/2024):
1. Court Master (Shorthand): 30 to 45 years
2. Senior Personal Assistant: 18 to 30 years
3. Personal Assistant: 18 to 30 years
• Relaxation in the upper age limit:
(i) OBC-NCL: 03 years
(ii) SC/ST: 5 years
(iii) Physically Handicapped: 10 years
(iv) Departmental candidates of Registry of Supreme Court: No Upper Age Limit
(v) Ex-servicemen/DESM/Victim of Riots: As per Govt of India rules.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection to the service will be done in four stages:
A. Typing Speed Test
B. Shorthand Test
C. Written Test
D. Interview
A. TYPING SPEED TEST:
• Typing Speed Test will be same for all posts.
• Test of English Typing speed of 40 wpm.
• Time: 10 minutes
• Mistakes allowed: 2%
• Maximum Marks: 10 marks
• Minimum qualifying marks: 5 marks
B. SHORTHAND TEST:
After qualifying the typing test, candidates will be called for shorthand test.
• For Court Master: 120 wpm speed
• For Senior Personal Assistant (SPA): 110 wpm speed
• For Personal Assistant (PA): 100 wpm speed
• Time of dictation (for all posts): 7 minutes
• Time given for transcription (for all posts): 45 minutes
• Mistakes allowed (for all posts): 5% of the total words dictated
• Maximum Marks: 100 marks
• Minimum qualifying marks: 50 marks
C. WRITTEN TEST:
After qualifying the shorthand test, candidates will be called for written test.
1. For Court Master:
(i) General English: 50 questions
(ii) General Aptitude: 15 questions
(iii) Knowledge of Law: 25 questions
(iv) General Knowledge: 10 questions
• Total: 100 questions (100 marks)
• Minimum qualifying marks: 50 marks (45 marks for Reserved Categories & PwBD)
2. For SPA & PA:
(i) General English: 50 questions
(ii) General Aptitude: 25 questions
(iii) General Knowledge: 25 questions
• Total: 100 questions (100 marks)
• Minimum qualifying marks: 50 marks (45 marks for Reserved Categories & PwBD)
• Apart from this written test, an objective type Computer Knowledge Test (CKT) will be conducted on the same day for all posts.
• Total Marks of CKT: 10 marks (minimum 5 marks to qualify).
(4.5 marks for Reserved Categories & PwBD)
• TOTAL DURATION (Written + CKT): 1 hour 45 minutes
• TOTAL MARKS (Written + CKT): 110 marks
D. INTERVIEW:
After qualifying the written test, candidates will be called for the interview.
• Maximum Marks: 30 marks
• Minimum qualifying marks: 15 marks
(13.5 marks for Reserved Categories & PwBD)
FINAL SELECTION:
For the final selection, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in Written Test and Interview.
